We promise you an unforgettable experience; whether you're a hiking fanatic, love sightseeing, or just can't get enough of our beautiful beaches, Assynt has got something extra special waiting for you. So, come on in, kick back, and let the adventure begin!

Let’s start with the most important part of any holiday: the accommodation.

Our Private Rooms: Your Personal Oasis

055

We've got seven private rooms that are mostly on the top floor, so you'll have all the privacy you need. Whether you're a couple, friends, or a whole family, these rooms are designed with care to give you a cosy and restful retreat during your stay.

When you arrive, you'll be greeted with a fully made-up room, complete with towels, to make you feel right at home from the get-go. Oh, and don't worry about having to pop to the bathroom to wash your hands; each room has its own wash hand basin for your convenience.

The toilet and shower facilities are shared among all our lovely guests, and you can find them on all three floors. They're kept squeaky clean and are just a hop, skip, and jump away from your room.

Our top floor offers six spacious private rooms. We've got two twin rooms for you to bunk up with your bestie, and three family-style rooms that are just perfect for you and your whole crew.

Speaking of our family rooms, you'll get one double bed, one single bed, and plenty of room for a travel cot or an extra bed for the little ones. We understand how important it is for everyone to have a comfortable stay, so we've got your back.

Accessibility is important to us. We want everyone to feel right at home, so we've made sure there's a private bedroom with twin beds on the ground floor. It's right next to a handy disabled toilet and shower, so no worries there. We're all about making your stay with us as amazing as possible!

To start your day off right, head to our main self-catering kitchen, where complimentary tea and coffee making facilities await. Feel free to grab a mug of your favourite beverage and take it upstairs to your private retreat.

Hostel Dorms: Where Friends and Stories Come Together

091

Looking for a warm, clean place to rest and recuperate? Our updated hostel dorms on the first floor are just the ticket! These dorms can snugly accommodate between 4 to 8 people, giving you the perfect social ambience.

You won't believe the views you'll get from your dormitory window – mountains all around! And don't worry about bedding – we’ve got you covered with fresh linens, duvets, and pillows for everyone. Need towels? No problem, you can rent them too. Plus, we've got storage boxes and shelves to stash away all your luggage and backpacks.

Charging your gadgets won't be a hassle either. Each dorm comes with at least one double power socket so you can juice up your cameras and phones with ease.

Now, let's talk facilities! On the same floor, we've got separate washrooms, along with a spacious mixed-sex shower room featuring seven cubicles. Even though all our dorms are mixed-sex, we do try our best to accommodate requests for female-only dorms whenever we can.

For the price of just £29 per night, you get a comfy bed in a shared dorm, and we even throw in a light breakfast to fuel your adventures. For the intrepid travellers among you taking on the Cape Wrath Trail, we offer flexible arrival dates (subject to availability), so you can plan your journey without any worries.

Just one small heads up – dorm beds are 100% non-refundable and need to be paid upfront. So please, take a peek at the full terms and conditions before locking in your reservation.

If you've got any group questions or special requests, no need to be shy! Just give our friendly hosts a shout, and they'll be more than happy to help you out.

So, what are you waiting for? Let's make your NC500 adventure unforgettable!

A Warm Welcome and Lodge Facilities

Our Lounge

When you arrive, you'll be greeted with a warm and friendly reception area that's got everything you need to make your stay special. Right next to the dining room, we've got a lovely guest lounge where you can kick back with a good book or have some fun with board games. And when it's chilly outside, we light up the fire stove to create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.

If you're into exploring, we've got a wonderful selection of local reference books filled with fascinating info about the walking trails, geology, and history of the local area.

Worried about staying connected? No problem! Enjoy our free WiFi, and if you're an EE SIM mobile phone user, you'll get blazing fast data broadband speeds of up to 70 Mbps on the terrace outside the lodge. Upload speeds go above 10 Mbps too!

We've got a range of goodies like snacks, cooking ingredients, soft drinks, alcohol, toiletries, books, and maps. We even stock dehydrated food and camping gadgets for serious hillwalkers and passing trailblazers!

We're super excited to announce our partnership with the famous Lochinver Larder, and we now stock a selection of their mouthwatering luxury pies in our shop.
